General

In the JC you are not required to use chord iii or vii, so we cross these out of our chord bank.

To to build a chord bank:

1. ​Find out what key you are in. This becomes chord I. The alphabet follows on from there with the rest of the chords. The bottom layer of the chord bank is your Roman numerals. The next layer above is called your root.
   
2. The next layer above your root is called your third. You can figure this out by looking at chord iii in the root.
3. The next layer above your third is called the fifth. You can figur this out from looking at chord V in your root.
4. ​Cintinue on the alphabet in the third and fifth line. This will complete your chord bank and you will be able to see all of your triads.
